involves models: the new Mercedes-Benz S-Class W221 chassis.
Symptom: fuel gauge on the instrument cluster indicates misalignment.
Faulty: fuel tank internal wire harness (fuel level sensor and filter member) loose harness connector.
Countermeasures: Replace the fuel tank inside wiring harness plug and replace the fuel filter. Please refer to the following procedure for maintenance.
(1) to adjust the left front seat to the front limit position, and then remove the left rear seat, to facilitate removal of internal fuel tank below the seat harness connector.

(3) all the pins has been replaced, the latch lock pins and replace rubber seal (FIG. 4) in the plug.

(4) replacement of the fuel filter and the fuel tank is mounted on the cover and the left rear seat. Tracking the recording positions different from the fuel, the fuel gauge indicates that the corresponding pointer is normal.
