What is Transmission?

.

1 Transmission

Automatic Transmission common are four types: namely, hydraulic automatic transmission (AT), a mechanical variable automatic transmission (CVT), Automatic Mechanical Transmission (AMT) , dual clutch transmission (DSG).

hydraulic automatic transmission (AT):

it is the most widely used AT, AT almost become synonymous with automatic transmission.

AT by the torque converter, a planetary gear and the hydraulic control system components, achieved by the variable speed hydraulic transmission torque and the gear assembly of embodiment. Wherein the torque converter is the most important member, which consists of a pump wheel, a turbine, and a stator composed of other components, and the role of both the transmission torque of the clutch.

Mechanical variable automatic transmission (CVT):

Compared with the AT, CVT eliminating the need for complex and heavy variable transmission gear assembly, but the two groups pulley transmission gear shift. A shift by varying the contact radius of the driving wheel and the driven belt wheel. With the removal of the gear, so that the transmission ratio can be freely varied, the shift more smoothly, without sudden jump shift feeling.

Automatic Mechanical Transmission (AMT):

AMT and hydraulic automatic transmission (AT) is the same as a stepped automatic transmission. It is based on the common manual transmission, the microcomputer control by the electric installation device, substituted isolated originally performed by manual operation of the clutch, gear selection and engagement of the transmission shift operation, automatic shifting.

The dual clutch transmission (DSG):

DSG conventional automatic transmission gearbox and there is a clear distinction, DSG from the outset did not use hydraulic torque converter. The transmission is not in the traditional concept ofProduced by the automatic transmission on the basis of design DSG engineers taking a new technology has a way of innovative, cleverly combines the convenience and flexibility of a traditional manual transmission automatic transmission.
